The Borgo San Donato association was founded in 2025 as a result of the coming together of various local organizations and a desire to give a voice to a land that still has much to tell.
San Donato is a unique place in the Taranto area: between the late 18th and early 19th centuries, characteristic country houses spread throughout this area. These structures are reminiscent of Apulian farmhouses, but with a completely different function: not agricultural, but residential.
This is where the Taranto nobility chose to spend the summer, moving with their families and servants to enjoy the countryside in a peaceful holiday atmosphere.
